Placement Opportunities for PG Holders

Placement details and job opportunities after M.Tech or masters for that matter would be an alarming question for everyone who wants to pursue masters in the respective field. Most of them feel it is better to do higher education after gaining few years of experience. Definitely readers will have many questions running in their minds after reading the previous line.

What if one has given a good amount of gap after under graduation?
Will I be able to study after such a huge gap?
Will my experience help after completing maters?
Will I get placed at all?

In academics point of view –

Some of them may be majority of it would be continuing their masters after working in some companies for quite a few years. They may think it would be difficult to study after some years as they had been away from academics for a longtime. Plus they would have enjoyed their lives earning monthly income. But its worth mentioning that it would be really good for some if they take a break and continue with masters. When they continue to do masters immediately after engineering it would be tiresome for some. As they have devoted half of their life in studying. Imagine 6 years of studying continuously! Some may find it easier to continue masters immediately after engineering as they will have touch with the knowledge. Flow of information and knowledge will be on track.

They don’t have to really bug up with the subjects. The points discussed above are in favor of both the cases, because capacity, knowledge, time differ from person to person. It is best to decide knowing their own ability and strength.

In placements point of view –

The fact is that placements are not a big problem for m. tech or for any masters. People who have previous experience jump into a thought whether their previous experience will be counted or not which is a valid question to be put front. Will they have a salary hike? Will they get any advantage over others who have come directly after engineering? Well, I have bad news and good news. Bad news is that I don’t think candidates will have practical advantage because of the experience. There is no separate test for experienced and for the fresher’s as such. All of them have to undergo a written test to qualify for the further rounds of interview. Good news is that, once you are through with the written test, experience may count valuable during other rounds of interview. I have heard it is very tough to fight during several rounds of interviews especially in the IT fields. The amount of confidence and the etiquette of how to present yourself during the interview process are some advantages for the candidates having previous work experience. So having a few years of experience definitely gives you an edge.

I have not heard of companies giving a different profile or a higher designation to people with experience. This is somewhat offset by the fact that your experience might help you get placed into a better company. In fact, a person with experience and without experience sails in the same boat till they are placed in a good company. Doing M.Tech, or masters with or without experience is worth the risk. Difficulties and reality have to be faced by the candidates but higher studies will definitely work in favor of everyone.

Advantages of Doing ME / MTech Through TANCET Exam

There are people who always aspire how he or she can excel better in their own field of interest. And there should be a reason for everyone who wants to continue higher education that too in technical stream like M.Tech, M.C.A etc.. Life has changed in such a way that people join big branded companies as soon as they finish their under graduation with the sole aim to earn. There are MNCs who provide options to continue with MBA to their employees. But everyone does not wish to do MBA. So, TANCET which is a boon to all the aspiring students who can continue with their higher education like M.Tech, M.C.A, M.arch, M.Plan.

There are many advantages of doing M.E/ M.Tech which can avoid job dissatisfactions as one do not have proper or equal qualification to the job assigned. If you choose to do a M.tech or any degree for that matter you can always get time to think to manage things on your own till everything is under your control. You can realize and analyze the mistakes you made in B.tech, thus you can avoid them when you do respective post graduation.

Always a post graduation in any stream can add a value to education and will definitely have benefits in the long run. As we are moving ahead with our life educational importance too is growing rapidly. At one point of time you will be recognized uniquely because of your qualification while others have the same technical skills. When you do a master in any degree one will find easier to clear all the subjects as you already have an insight of the subjects roughly. Main advantage according to me would be having good friends who are similar to you and trying to move hard in life. If your choice of institute is good you will see all of them in good position in long run if not immediately. And in future, their contacts may be good enough for you to start projects or you can help them.

There are lots of other advantages of doing higher studies. But there may be some social or family constrains and difficulties in the way as well. Everyone knows their problems themselves than others and can make best decisions based on that. Either you can start doing your masters immediately after completing under graduation or you can push your plans having master degree little later by gaining few years of experience before.

Wish you all a great luck in your future endeavors.
