Syllabus For TANCET B.E Non-GATE

The TANCET Non-GATE examination for M. Plan, M. Arch, M.E and M. Tech question paper will have three parts. The first part and second part is common for all candidates, but the third part consists of questions from the specialization field of the candidate. The syllabus for TANCET B.E non-GATE exam is given below:
The first part mathematics is common for all candidates and the topics covered under first part are probability and statistics, numerical methods, calculus and ordinary differential equations, analytic function theory, determinants and matrices and vector calculus.

The second part basic engineering and sciences is also common for all candidates and the topics covered under this part are fundamentals of chemistry, fundamentals of physics, fundamentals of mathematics, fundamentals of computers, basic mechanical engineering, basic electrical engineering, basic civil engineering, fundamentals of material science and fundamentals of applied mechanics.

The third part differs according to specialization and the syllabus for each group is given below:

Civil Engineering and Geo informatics:

Remote sensing, transportation engineering, surveying, geographic information systems, environmental engineering, fluid mechanics and water resource engineering, soil mechanics and geo technical engineering, concrete and steel structure and mechanics of solids and structural analysis.

Aeronautical, automobile and mechanical engineering:

Strength of materials, aerospace propulsion, aerodynamics, automatic transmission, automotive engines, production technology, refrigeration and air conditioning, thermo dynamics, material science and metallurgy, mechanics and machine design.

Instrumentation, electronics and communication and electrical engineering:

Transducers and instrumentation, computer applications, microprocessors, network analysis, power electronics, communication systems, control systems, AC and DC machines and circuit theory.

Industrial and production engineering:

Quality control reliability and maintenance, operations management, operations research, press tools, fixtures, design, cost estimation, process planning and product design of jigs, computer aided manufacturing, processing of plastics and engineering materials, metrology and inspection, machine tool operation, tool engineering, casting, metal forming and metal joining process.

Computer science and engineering:

Computer networks, database systems, programming methodology, data structure and algorithms, compilers and operating systems, system programming including assemblers, computer organization and architecture, micro processor and hardware systems, discrete mathematical structures and formal language.
